Where Brooklyn at? Where Brooklyn At? The words of Biggie Smalls, Camron, and more New York Heads bumped on the Ipod most the way there. 10 hour drive, 2 cars, 5 days in New York City. With mass transit subways, homeless people, and a massive amount of skateboarders and spots, New York deffinetly holds down its reputation when it comes to East Coast skating. Contests raged the whole weekend (Back To The Banks, Manny Mania), but we still got down on what we went there for. To have fun in New York, and get footage for the video. Which is shaping up better every day. New friends were made, thanks to New York homies, Gibson and Brian, along with Anthony, the kid on the Subway who helped us out. Thanks to Tyler, Mitch, and Wade, our Ohio homies for helping us out too. Look out for their parts because they have been tearing it up. We spent some time in Times Square in the rain, which truly is beautiful. Got some New York pizza everyday, and also met Steve Berra, who told us to send him more videos. Which was pretty amazing to hear. Other than that Robert pretty much funded the tolls in the city among other things, once again, which is greatly appreciated. Andrew carried on his usual demeanor of keeping it dirty. Rickey who went on his first trip, instantly bonded with the city, and was doing street cruiser lines left and right. Jordan had twenty dollars to last five days, so was always trying to skate to attempt to dent the hunger. While Tom drove the car all around and turned into a true New Yorker while doing so, he was still getting down on his skateboard. All in all the trip went great, and was well worth it. Going by to fast, as most trips do. Upon time to leave the Ohio homies' car broke down, and they stayed til the next morning. Then we got lost, and ended up leaving the city with half a tank of gas and ten dollars total. We also had to stop for Toms phone which was left in a rest stop on the way there. No one stressed because we had a stipulation like this in Chicago. We got into Pennsylvania before we decided it was time to work the magic. Jordan told this dude our honest situation, and explained to him how things happened, and by a pure stroke of good humanity for lack of a better word, the dude gave us twenty dollars. He then handed us Raspberry teas, and an additional sixteen dollars. His name was John Im pretty sure, thanks so much to him if he somehow reads this. More than these words say. Thanks to everyone once again who helped out. Get ready to check the New York Footage in the video. Possibly some throwaway footage in the upcoming montage. Hanging up the towel on another trip. Once again well worth it. And in the words of the late Biggie Smalls "If ya dont know now ya know!"

Make sure to check the MySpace for more photos from NYC.
